We arrived late Friday night into Charles de Gaulle Airport and promptly took an RER train and Metro to our hostel in the center of the city. Our hostel was absolutely stunning, which shocked me because it was for young travelers. However, I quickly realized everything in Paris has an air of enchantment and beauty to it.
After eating breakfast early Saturday morning, we decided to hit all the major tourist points. We walked along the Seine River and first walked to Notre Dame. After this we walked to the Louvre, then the Eiffel Tower.
The second day we visited Versailles and then some friends and hung out around Paris. Sadly, we had to leave later that night to come back to London. However, at this point I was craving the sound of English and being able to use my Oyster pass on the underground again. We got back to our flat later Sunday night, with Monday left to enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend.
As much as I love London, Paris may have stolen my heart for the weekend.
