Today I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day at the fourth best zoo in the world.  The zoo here at Prague is known internationally for their wide range of animals and amazing exhibits. Needless to say, it exceeded all my expectations giving me the best zoo experience I’ve ever had! With just one bus ride away, the zoo is easy located only 20 minutes from where I live in Holesolvice. This morning, I got there at 9AM when it opened and stayed until I saw the entire park.

While there is some controversy surrounding zoos in general, Prague zoo strives to work towards conservation and the protection of certain animals facing extinction. There exhibits for each animal seems well maintained and they have a variety of fundraisers and that go towards spreading awareness for their cause.

The zoo had a wide variety of animals spread out over a large area of land. It took me around 6-7 hours to walk around and see everything.If i spent longer at each exhibit I can definitely see how it could take a lot longer to see it all! While I was there it was pretty empty with only a couple people at each exhibit. I thought the zoo would be pretty touristy, but it was cheap and filled with only locals. I had an amazing time and was a great way to spend the end of the weekend.
