I got 99 Prague-blems but a blog ain’t one

Hi I’m Daryn Green and I’m a rising Senior from Bangor, PA studying Social Work with a concentration in Psychology. At Pitt, I’m involved in Pitt’s Panhellenic exec board, the BASW club, and my sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon. I love comedy, cooking, and reading and I’m passionate about helping others. Professionally, I want to go into the social work field and, while i’m not 100% sure what population I want to work with, I know I want to make a difference in other people’s lives.

This summer, I will be interning in Prague with the International Internship Program and I am so excited for the program to start. This is the second time i’ve been out of the country (I went to Scotland last year for two weeks with my family) so I’m relatively new to traveling and can’t wait to experience Prague. I chose IIP to try something different- I’m not in the Business School and I want to experience as many different types of career fields to be as well rounded as possible. I also chose Prague because I’m interested in central Europe and everyone I know that has spent time in Prague has absolutely loved it, so I figured I should Czech it out for myself.

I want to experience as much as possible during this study abroad experience. I want to go out of my comfort zone academically, professionally, and personally. I want to try new things and genuinely enjoy my summer interning in such a beautiful country. Catch ya in Europe in a couple weeks!
