Post Australia
After staying in Sydney for a couple months I feel like I’ve developed feel for the city. Below are some observations I’ve made after spending heaps of time here.
Weather
Going to Sydney, I thought it would be a tropical paradise that’s alway s warm and always nice. While it is warm very often, the weather can vary from day to day. It actually gets cold here. Beaches get chillier and the water becomes a little uncomfortably cold. Towards the Australian fall and winter, the weather cools down a little. In winter, temperature can reach freezing sometimes.
People
The people of Australia are what made my experience so enjoyable. Almost everybody has a sense of good humor and it’s awesome. It’s so easy to get along with most people because they’re open to new people and willing to crack jokes with them. Also I feel like the Australian sense of humor is so unique and hilarious.
Food
Sydney has an interesting food culture. It’s a lot like the US being a melting pot of different cultures but more heavily Asian. Sydney has an abundance of Asian food and it’s awesome. Also, Australian food has a heavy English influence too. Meat pies are everywhere here and they’re great.
