The Natural Realm of Dublin

Today we visited the Botanical Gardens of Dublin after our time spent in class working on our final presentations and business analyses. It gave us another new perspective of Ireland and the culture that is prevalent within it.

The Botanical Gardens were beautiful, and there were so many different flowers, greenhouses and other features of nature to see within them. We were able to see the true beauty of Ireland, just like when we visited the Cliffs of Moher and the cliff walk at Howth. It showed another way of expressing culture in Ireland. However, rather than the usual historic sites and architecture that is prevalent all throughout Dublin, the natural features were what stood out, allowing us to see the city from a new perspective. It was intriguing to see how well the grounds were maintained, especially because the gardens were massive with so much to offer. It was also very relaxing to just sit around and admire nature for a little bit.

Compared to the other sightseeing we’ve done around the country of Ireland, it was much more subdued. It wasn’t overwhelmed with tourists like much of the attractions and destinations within the country. Instead, we were able to go off on our own paths without having to worry about the other people. This site is important, because it keeps the beauty of the original Irish land, even inside of a huge tourist city like Dublin, helping to leave a natural landmark in a city that is expanding with businesses.
