All in all, Sydney is awesome!

I made the two most amazing decisions this semester! One was to study abroad and the other was to study abroad in Sydney. Firstly, let me tell you, that to study abroad is one if the best experiences I have had in my entire life. I decided to choose this program mainly because it had an amazing location and an internship opportunity.

One piece of advice I’d like to give you: if you are more of an adventurous kind, study abroad at a location where you don’t know anyone from your school. I went there and did not know anyone initially but I think I made the most amazing group of friends and the memories that I will never forget. Yes, a lot of people came alone without knowing anybody other than themselves and trust me, they all said that it was an amazing experience. In fact, one of my friends said that she could have gone to London with 8-9 friends of hers but she was so glad she didn’t because she would have regretted that!

I had a great experience with the location, people, friends, internship, and also classes. Another piece of advice I’d like to give is that you should definitely do an internship if you are studying abroad and take the Global Business Internship Program. I got to experience a lot of new work in my study area as I got the perfect internship. At first I thought that it was a mistake for me to do an internship as I would miss out the chance to explore the country I was in. However, at my internship, my team took me to a lot of places for meals and suggested me a lot of great places in Sydney to explore. Along with that, they were very understanding about the leaves I would take in order to explore the city. They would encourage me to cover up for the missed hours at any time in the week. Most of the internships allowed them to do so.

Now, I definitely don’t regret the option of not going to London as that was a very hard decision for me to make. London or Sydney? Definitely Sydney! If I were to go to Sydney, I would go again and again. It was very lively there. This semester honestly didn’t feel like a semester and it felt more like a Summer vacation with a little added work. It was a great opportunity and an extraordinary experience. Please go to Sydney, it’s crazy fun!
