I’d say that my takeaway from the time spent in Pittsburgh is knowing the importance of networking. Sending follow up emails and connecting on LinkedIn are among some of the most important things to do after meeting someone in a professional setting. In a personal sense, I learned how to live independently. This is my first time leaving home by myself and staying with strangers. This experience has eased my concerns about moving in during the fall and given me more confidence in myself in what I would normally think is an uncomfortable situation.
