Final Send-Off

First off, I would like to thank THE Bradley Miner, Professor Ray, CAPA, Mrs. Haller, and the whole Pitt business program for setting up such an amazing trip. It’s been a lot of fun and educational.

As for my professional development, there were a lot of great companies we visited. The two that stood out were DocuSign and Google. Google was very interesting for a couple reasons. To start, it’s the EMEA HQ, and it was huge and very innovative. The atmosphere in there is no joke, and it seems like a great work environment and something I think I could see myself fitting in at. Our tour guides were salespeople, and their jobs seemed interesting and engaging, and its something I might wat to look into. My other favorite company visit was DocuSign. The guy we met with there was a legit businessman, and the topics we covered there were probably the most down to earth, educational conversations we’ve had thus far. I learned a lo from him in both what it takes to be successful an how to do it, as well as the actual work side of his world.

In terms of my personal development, its always great getting exposed to new cultures and immersing yourself within them. Ireland is obviously an English-speaking country, but it still felt like such a foreign world at times. I feel like one of the best ways to learn when you’re somewhere new is just walking around and getting a feel for the country, interacting with people, and just getting out of your comfort zone. I know its cliché, but it’s the truth. Irelands a great country, and having this first college international experience has opened up a lot of potential avenues in terms of what I might want to do during my future at Pitt.

Thanks again for everyone involved in making this experience a special one and one I will remember for a long time.
