Goodbye Dublin

In terms of professional development, I think I figured out some areas of business I would and wouldn’t want to work in by visiting companies in various industries. For example, the marketing agency we visited in Pittsburgh was interesting to learn about, but I don’t think I want to go into marketing after hearing about the level of creativity needed for most of the positions. A company I found fascinating was DocuSign because their technology was relatively new to me and I loved hearing about how travel could be integrated into many job positions at the company.

In terms of personal development, I think I grew a lot during this program. I managed to navigate the city a couple times without getting lost, which was a huge accomplishment for someone who usually needs to look up directions for any place I go. I also learned that study abroad is something I really want to participate in again during my time at Pitt. I love traveling and seeing new places and I want to take advantage of as many study abroad opportunities as possible during my college experience. Overall, my trip to Ireland was amazing and I would love to go back at some point in the future.
