My internship is primarily objective based meaning time efficiency is based on how quickly deliverables are finalized. This has helped me manage my time and improved the speed in which I work. Since it is objective based the motivation is internal rather than just meeting a status quo. I am working on multiple initiatives at the same time. This has been both challenging and rewarding. On one hand, I am handling daily operational tasks, while on the other I am building the business plan for the future. This has helped me become mentally multi dimensional. The operational tasks must be completed for our organization to survive.  However, we must start defining our value propositions and constructing our financial growth model. Both initiatives are equally important but exist in different time frames. The operational tasks are completed during the day, that being said I must still find time to work on the strategic initiatives . I have found that the objective based environment has motivated me to work harder and for longer periods of time. Having to sit at a desk for 8.5 hours does not translate necessarily into employee efficiency. In fact, the opposite reaction is more likely, an employee purposely slows the pace of work as they are aware that a status quota of time must be realized regardless. – Lucas Carrillo McGrann
