I’m Patrick Monahan and I’m an incoming freshman in the Pitt Honors College and the College of Business Administration. I am currently planning on majoring in finance or accounting, but I have not officially made a decision yet. I hope to also pursue a certificate in another field such as supply chain management. I currently do not know what job I want when I graduate, but I have time to learn about different companies through different internships. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and going to the gym. I also like skiing, hiking, and any other outdoor activity.
I am participating in the Haller Global Honors Fellowship. I chose this program because I have wanted to go to Ireland for a few years and this was a great opportunity to do that. I also wanted the opportunity to make a small group of friends before fall semester starts to make the transition easier. Additionally, I am really excited to work on a consulting project for a small business, as this is something that I haven’t done before. Doing this project will be a great experience for me, and it will definitely help prepare me for the Pitt Business School.
