One commercial opportunity for Croke Park is to capitalize on the growth in popularity of Gaelic sports. The main fans for the games are only from Ireland. If the sport continues to market itself in the UK, it could attract many more fans. The only games that sell out the stadium currently are the Mens and Womens Football and Hurling Championship Finals. An increase in fan engagement could increase seat sales in the regular season games. One commercial challenge for Croke Park is acquiring large sponsors for the teams and arena. The sports it hosts are only in Ireland so international companies have very little interest in advertising in the arena. This means that only Irish companies are potential advertisement customers. Broadening interest in the sport could also help attract more international companies to advertise.
