As a marketing intern at “Move to Prague,” I am working in the relocation services industry. This industry is dedicated to assisting individuals, families, and businesses in transitioning to Prague, providing a range of services from finding housing and schools to handling legal paperwork and cultural integration. The relocation services industry is essential for creating smooth and efficient moves.
Key skills that are necessary to be successful in this industry communication skills, which can be seen through interacting with clients as well as other coworkers, and organization skills, knowledge of the local market here in Prague, as well as marketing skills.
Important competencies necessary to be successful in this industry are cultural, economic and market knowledge, and local language knowledge. These are all competencies that are specific to the country you are working in. For me, being in the Czech Republic is allowing me to experience and develop the knowledge of the culture, as well as doing research to learn more about the local economy and market. These competencies are necessary to be successful within the relocation industry in Prague.
I officially start my internship tomorrow and am very much looking forward to it. I met with my supervisor on Friday, and we spoke about my schedule and work that was expected from me, and I also had the opportunity to meet my fellow interns.
To be successful in the relocation services industry, especially in a dynamic and culturally rich city like Prague, skills regarding communication, organization, and problem-solving are necessary. Additionally, understanding the cultural aspects of the Czech Republic are very important. As a marketing intern at Move To Prague, leveraging these skills and competencies enables me to contribute effectively to the company’s mission of making relocations as smooth and stress-free as possible.
The first week in Prague has been an amazing one, I can’t wait to experience more here and to begin my internship.
