This is the third day of the Haller Program, and I’m starting to get settled into both the program and the city environment. The program’s classes have been extremely engaging and informative so far, allowing me to broaden my perspective from a business standpoint.
Besides the classes, today our group also held our first meeting with a portion of our clients, who are based in Carrickart. The meeting itself was extremely informative and gave me insight about the inner workings of their local business. Discussing what they do, how they operate, and, most importantly, how they deal with the changing seasons, which heavily affect their business, was really interesting and gave me a better understanding of the challenges they face throughout the year.
Our group split into teams, and I chose to join the Marketing & Analysis team, since I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and data. Math has been something I’ve liked for a long time, so being able to apply it to real business situations is something I’m excited to be able to do. I’m looking forward to contributing to the projects and working further with my team and the group, learning more as we go. Overall, it feels good to set into a routine and to continue to learn much from both the classes and everybody here.
