Today, we took a StrengthsFinder test to identify our strengths. The exam indicated that my strongest attribute was Woo, which suggests I have an innate ability to charm and win others over. Throughout my life, I have consistently noticed that I have little to no trouble striking up a conversation with a stranger or building rapport with my teachers. This ability has taken me a long way in life so far, and I intend to make it a focus of mine to strengthen this natural talent. This ability will help me succeed in whatever finance career I eventually choose to pursue, as I will have an easier time making connections with those around me. My following attribute was achiever, which means that I am self-assured and highly ambitious. Whenever I have faced a challenge, whether in sports or academics, I have done everything in my power to succeed in areas where I desired improvement. Earlier this year, I missed several weeks of school due to having a weakened immune system from a heart issue I was recovering from. When I came back, I found it challenging to keep up in my classes, especially in calculus. My quarter grade for calculus dropped to an F, and I was determined to do anything in my power to recover from this setback. I spent hours studying and seeking help from my peers to fully grasp the new content we were covering. By the end of the quarter, I had improved my failing grade to a high B. Learning what my group members’ top personality traits were after this exam was highly intriguing. One of my group members had traits mainly under the categories of strategic thinking and executing. The other two members’ traits were based on relationship building. With this in mind, we can now delegate specific tasks to the individuals who are best suited to complete them. This, in theory, should enable our presentation preparation to proceed at a faster rate and make the experience more enjoyable for everyone involved.
