Giving my final presentation was a really positive experience. It gave me the chance to share my ideas while contributing to a real challenge faced by the community. I was part of the financial group, and our job was to come up with ways to bring steady foot traffic to Carrigart year-round. Carrigart is a small but lively town with a lot of untapped potential. Our goal was to find ways to have the local businesses optimize their online marketing presence.
I am extremely thankful for the chance to travel to Ireland through the Haller Global Fellowship. The trip was even better than I expected. I got to fully experience the culture and history of the country, seeing in person the places I had only seen in pictures. From the coastline and green hills to the small towns and busy cities, every stop had its own personality. The people in Donegal were especially welcoming.
The best part of the trip for me was the connections I made. I got to meet locals and other travelers who shared their knowledge, traditions, and stories. Whether it was learning about the history of local businesses, joining in on community events, or just having casual conversations, each moment helped me understand Ireland better. I also learned how important sports, festivals, food, and art are to community life there.
This trip also changed me on a personal level. It pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, try new things, and grow both as a student and as a person. The relationships I made, the things I learned, and the memories I took home will stick with me forever. I am truly grateful for the effort that went into planning this trip, and I know how lucky I am to have been part of it. It left me with a new appreciation for travel, cultural exchange, and the connections that come from entering a new place with an open mind.
