Today for Haller, we spoke with David Hornyak, the Assistant Dean of the Frederick Honor’s College, on the opportunities, scholarships, and support provided by the program. We learned specifically how the Honors program supports the students with opportunities and connections to the outside world via. human connections and scholarship help. We also spoke with Bryan Schultz, the Director of Global Experiences, where we spoke on the meaning of service learning and global experiences offered at Pitt.
After learning about the various different programs that Pitt’s Honors College and Global Experiences Office have to offer (along with indulging on incredible pizza from Fazio’s), I was extremely interested in the Plus3 Business program that Pitt GEO had to offer, specifically the Vietnam and Morocco trip, with their emphasis on Sustainable Development and Technology & Entrepreneurship, respectively. I’ve always been heavy on sustainability and entrepreneurship via. technology, so I’m hoping I will be able to do Plus3 for both programs within the next few years. I’m extremely excited by the opportunities present at Pitt’s programs, and I will absolutely take advantage of them!
