Last Weekend!

As if we just arrived a few weeks ago, we have already been in San Francisco for more than 2 months. This is my last weekend in San Francisco, but the trip has never been boring! I went biking with some new friends from Minnesota , and it was my first time riding a bike for such a long time and a long distance. Although it’s shame to admit, I am the type of person that never really work out in recent years. When they said they were going to have a biking trip, I was imaging an easy, comfortable trip with good views from the Golden Gate Bridge. I said yes to the trip with a super high expectation, but I got disappointed very soon.

We met up at 8:30 and went to IHop for breakfast. I got a omelette with avocado on top, and avocado never fails! I looked at the calories of my breakfast and was worrying if I had eaten too much, but I realized I shouldn’t worry about that at all soon enough. Starting from Fisherman Wharf, we were planing to bike cross the Golden Gate Bridge and bike around Sausalito. I thought it would be easy, but I was totally wrong. I got tired and felt dizzy before we even got to the Golden Gate Bridge. I had to stop and take a break, and that was the most awful feeling that I had since graduated from high school. I realized that I really need more exercises. Biking cross the Golden Gate Bridge is the experience that I will never forgot. I could feel the wing and the the scent of the sea. I saw the mountain from the other side and it looks so natural, as if no one has never been on there. The side that facing the Pacific gave me a feeling of fear, but also made me so admirable to people who build the bridge.

After we got to Sausalito, a lot of situations happened. First, our friend had a flat tire. Then, another one in our team hurt his leg. People who were passing by all stopped and tried to offer us some help. We got to recover and keep going.

After we reached to Tiburon, we were all too tired to bike back, so we took the ferry back.
