What is your personal connection to Ireland and/or Dublin?  How did this connection help convince you to spend this part of your summer making this 12 day trip?

My personal connection was one of the primary factors that influenced me to be a part of the Haller Global Honors Fellowship. My mom was born just outside of London, England, and she has lots of family in many different parts of Europe. Last winter, I traveled to London for a family members wedding, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting family I had never met before. My mom also has family that lives just outside of Dublin, and I am excited to meet them and recreate the interaction I experienced in London. Currently, I’m not informed of my family history regarding Ireland, but I desire to learn more from meeting my family in Dublin.
