Today you are on a day long visit to Glendalough and the City of Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity to write a short paragraph on your travels to the Irish countryside with some observations on how Glendalough and Kilkenny differ from your experiences in Ireland in the large city of Dublin. So – for this blog post – concentrate on how your experiences in Glendalough and Kilkenny gave you an experience with a different part of Ireland.
My favorite experience today was getting to feed sheep milk. We visited a farmer who raised sheepdogs for herding and I was able to be one of the two people who fed his sheep milk from the bottle. Aside from that, there were a lot of differences in Glendalough and Kilkenny from Dublin. Dublin is a bustling cosmopolitan city, whereas Glendalough and Kilkenny are at a slower pace. It was very apparent the affects the technology growth of Dublin has affected the rest of Ireland. The farmer explained to us how his business has declined over the years. For these workers in rural areas, they have been forgotten as technology has taken over in interest in recent years.
