Glendalough and the City of Kilkenny remind me of smaller towns in Pennsylvania.  For example, Kilkenny reminded me of Wexford.  They had a small shopping center, some apartments, and some neighborhoods.  Glendalough on the other hand, reminded me of Lancaster with the abundance of farms and livestock that roamed by the lakes and throughout the mountains.  The culture is extremely different from Dublin.  It is more relaxed and easygoing, unlike the hustle and bustle of the Dublin streetlife.
