Hello! My name is Amber Honick and I am an incoming freshman at the University of Pittsburgh where I plan to study accounting! I am so excited to begin my journey at Pitt! I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, so I am familar with the city, but I am looking forward to exploring Oakland. I graduated from Pine-Richland High School. During my time there, I was active in multiple organizations. I plan to join clubs at Pitt as well. In my free time I enjoy reading, baking, and music. I love to attend concerts and am looking forward to attending a few at Peterson Event Center!

I wanted to participate in the Haller Fellowship because I thought it would be a great way to meet my fellow classmates, as well as learn about business consulting! I am part of the social media and marketing group with the position of Closer. With this role, I am responsible for making sure we have examples and research to support our ideas and recommendations. My teammates are so nice and passionate about the project! Personally, I am looking forward to getting to know them more while learning to develop a consulting project for an international company. I know that this program will prepare me for my future career in the business field by exposing me to the workplace and typical demands and challenges that an employee would face there.

I am so excited to discover what I can learn from this program and see what my team will accomplish! Hail to Pitt!
