Au Revoir to Reims

As I say goodbye to Reims, I carry with me a treasure trove of memories and experiences. My time at NEOMA Business School has been nothing short of transformative. The school’s international environment, with students coming from all corners of the globe, has enriched my perspective and broadened my understanding of the world.

The French pedagogical approach, which emphasizes active participation and respect, has been a refreshing change from my experiences back home. The smaller class sizes and interactive nature of the classes at NEOMA have fostered a sense of camaraderie among students, making the learning experience more engaging and fulfilling.

The courses I took, such as Intro to Investments, Organizational Behavior, and Intercultural Management, have not only expanded my academic horizons but also provided me with a unique insight into the French business landscape. The opportunity to work on group projects with students from different cultural backgrounds has been an invaluable experience, teaching me the importance of effective communication and teamwork in a multicultural setting.

Living in Reims, a city steeped in history and culture, has been an adventure in itself. From navigating the local transportation system to figuring out how to buy groceries, every day brought with it a new learning experience. The city’s charm, coupled with the warmth and friendliness of its people, has made my stay here truly enjoyable.

The exchange program at NEOMA has also provided me with many opportunities to socialize and form meaningful connections. The orientation program, student events, and group projects have all played a crucial role in helping me build a network of friends from around the world.

Looking back, I realize that studying abroad was not just about earning a degree; it was about stepping out of my comfort zone, embracing new experiences, and growing as an individual. As I prepare to embark on the next chapter of my life, I do so with a greater sense of confidence and a global perspective that I owe to my time at NEOMA and in Reims.

So, to anyone considering studying abroad, I say this – go for it. It might seem scary at first, but the experiences you gain and the people you meet will make it all worthwhile. And who knows, you might just find a second home in a city far from your own, just like I did in Reims.

As I return to Pitt Business, I bring with me many lessons from my time at NEOMA. The international exposure, active classroom participation, and the bonds formed have all been transformative. These experiences have broadened my worldview and deepened my understanding of business. As I continue at Pitt, I do so with a renewed passion for learning and a global perspective that will shape my future endeavors. This is the core of my time in France, an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
