Reflecting on my time in London

I cannot believe that my study abroad experience in London is coming to an end. This has been one of the most rewarding and fun experiences of my life and I take with me such good memories of this time. It felt so nice to live in London, in my own space, and live like a local because I went to school and worked. I have met so many amazing people that I can now call my friends. I also enjoyed getting to know London more, especially how its history plays a part in its current state. My favorite class was one in which we went on field studies to different neighborhoods in London and learned about their cultural significance and impact on London and Britain as a whole. I have grown so much as a person. If anything, I feel more like an adult than I ever have because I had to learn how to live completely on my own and manage my time effectively. I have definitely grown professionally and career wise due to my internship at Pepa London. I have learned so many valuable skills in the Product Management sector, something that I wish to pursue in the future. My internship experience gave me confirmation that this is something that I wish to continue on with. No two work days are the same, especially in the fashion industry, and there are always challenges you face, but the work is very rewarding. With my internship and school, I learned how to balance both and management my time wisely, to give myself time for both and also thinking about the time it takes to arrive to places with public transportation.

After living abroad for these four months, it gives me confidence to acclimate myself in pretty much any city that I might live in in the future. I definitely see the world in a different light and how I live my everyday life. I am not as afraid to go for things and say “yes” to things. You never know when a good opportunity will present itself, so I intend to never miss out on those. Also, making friends will all kinds of people, opened me up to different perspectives and people from different backgrounds. I will miss London so much, but I am sure I will be back in the near future. I am so grateful to have had the chance to work and study in London, a hub of business, people, culture, and so much more.
