At my internship, there are four marketing interns in total. It has been great getting to know them and spending time with them both inside and outside of the office. Since there are more of us, we can split up the daily tasks to efficiently complete all our work within the workday. I am lucky to not have to spend much time outside of the office working on content or material that is needed. This has made balancing work and life very easy. As stated before, within the office, we split up the tasks making it very clear what each person needs to complete within the day which also makes it easier deciding how to prioritize the tasks at hand.
Working on different things, together, has created an atmosphere of great feedback and allowance for each of our personalities to shine through what we create.
I am happy not to be the only intern within the company. Not only does this allow for clearer direction and teamwork, but it has also given me new friends. Within us, there are two interns from France, one from Spain, and me. Not only have we enjoyed interacting within the office, but we have also spent time together outside of the office. I know that in the future office settings won’t always be like this, but for my second internship, especially being in a foreign country, I am very happy to have this extra support.
My time in the office, and the people that I have met have allowed me to expand my community within Prague even more. After my first week, I already felt so welcome and at home in the office, a feeling that has allowed me to execute my best work during the workday, and made Prague feel even more like home.
This past weekend, I went to Vienna with some people from IIP. My coworkers beforehand gave me advice on the city and what I should do. It was a great trip, and I can’t wait to see what this week has in store!
