Soft skills that I am developing while in Florence and throughout this program is communication skills. I am learning how to communicate better with people in my classes, especially when they go to different universities. With this I am also developing more teamwork skills which is important for many of my classes but most importantly Consulting and Global Workforce Management which require working in groups and projects.
The hard skills that I have gained throughout the semester and program are more technical skills in classes like consulting skills which I have been practicing and developing in my consulting course. I have also been developing project management skills as I have many projects that I am working on and want to make sure that I am managing it well with my time and other classes.
I have found that I am navigating cross-cultural situations very well! I enjoy interacting with other program participants to learn more about them and their background and I also enjoy interacting with the locals in Florence as I believe it is important to get to know the people and place of the country you are in. These interactions are impacting my own identity as I am now more knowledgable on Italy and have become a more curious person during my time here.
