Hi everyone,
Here are a few quick updates!
Starting my internship at a company in Stockholm was both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking. During the first week, I focused on getting to know my new colleagues and understanding the company culture, as everyone was welcoming and approachable, which made it easier to break the ice. I made a point to introduce myself to many people, attended team meetings, and joined informal gatherings like coffee breaks. These moments helped me build connections and feel comfortable in the new environment.
I really enjoyed the work I was doing, which made the days pass quickly. The projects were challenging but rewarding, and I felt motivated to contribute my ideas and learn from the team. Getting hands-on experience in such a vibrant company boosted my confidence and excitement for what was ahead.
Outside of work, I made an effort to familiarize myself with Stockholm. I took walks through the city’s charming neighborhoods like Gamla Stan, admiring the historic architecture and cobblestone streets. I visited local cafes and markets where I could try Swedish foods and practice my Swedish a little. Exploring these spots helped me feel more connected to the city.
I also learned to navigate Stockholm’s public transportation system, especially the metro, which made getting around easier and more efficient. These experiences outside of work helped me feel more independent and comfortable in a new environment. Overall, the combination of meeting new people at the company and exploring Stockholm made my first week memorable and set a positive tone for the rest of my internship.
