From Pittsburgh to Philly to Ireland

As we are closing the Pittsburgh portion of our trip, we can take a look back at some memorable experiences we have had so far. My most memorable experience professionally was getting to explore the stained glass factory in Connellsville because we not only got to learn about a business that is close to home, but we also got to discuss how the stained glass business is international and how all of the regulations come into play. To me, this was particularly interesting because I want to work in international business law post-grad, so it was cool to be able to discuss how when shipping internationally there are different customs and regulations to go through as well as the customs between people are different so you have to be able to quickly adapt which is something i enjoy doing as I like thinking quickly to a solution. The most memorable moment personally was hiking the city steps because while i enjoy working out and being active I am not the most outdoorsy person so it was a nice little challenge to do all while still learning the history of the area and I personally find history quite enjoyable.

As we are departing for Ireland today, I am looking forward to a multitude of different things. Firstly, I am looking forward to travelling internationally for the first time and getting to see a new country. Secondly, I am looking forward to meeting the different people in Carrigart and really tailoring our projects to them as the clients, because it is hard to get a feel for what the town and business need from across the ocean, as Zoom meetings can only do so much. Lastly, I am looking forward to exploring the different culture that Ireland has as we are visiting both Ireland and Northern Ireland and they both has slightly different customs and fascinating histories. All in all I am looking forward to the next part of the trip and all there is to still learn.
