It’s hard to put into words how much studying abroad in Sydney has meant to me, and even harder to accept that it’s coming to an end. I will miss this place and these people more than I can fully express, and I know these memories are something I will carry with me forever. From the everyday moments to the once-in-a-lifetime experiences, this chapter of my life has been truly unforgettable, and I already hope to return one day.
Some of my favorite memories are the moments that felt both exciting and unexpectedly simple. Learning how to surf at surf camp was something I never imagined myself doing, and it quickly became one of the most rewarding and fun challenges I’ve taken on. Beach days before class became part of my routine, which still feels surreal to say. What made it even more special were the people I shared these experiences with, forming close friendships with other students in the program and creating endless memories together is something I will always treasure. Whether it was spontaneous plans, exploring new places, or just spending time together, those connections made this experience what it was.

Traveling was another incredible highlight. Weekend trips allowed me to explore more of the surrounding areas, and my spring break trip to Thailand, Bali, and Singapore was truly unforgettable. Being able to experience such diverse cultures, environments, and ways of life expanded my perspective in ways I never could have anticipated. I also had the opportunity to meet so many new people from different backgrounds, which pushed me to be more open, adaptable, and confident in myself.

Through all of this, I’ve grown in ways that are both visible and deeply personal. I’ve become more independent, more comfortable with uncertainty, and more willing to step outside of my comfort zone. Academically, I’ve gained a stronger appreciation for how global perspectives shape business, especially in marketing and consumer behavior. Professionally, I now understand the importance of cultural awareness, communication, and adaptability in ways that go far beyond the classroom.
The soft skills I developed throughout this experience, adaptability, communication, independence, and open-mindedness, are ones I know I will continue to build on. I’ve learned how to navigate new environments, connect with different types of people, and approach challenges with a more flexible and positive mindset. These are skills that will not only help me succeed at Pitt Business but will also be incredibly valuable in my future career.
Looking ahead, I plan to bring everything I’ve learned back with me. I want to continue seeking out new opportunities, staying curious, and pushing myself beyond what feels comfortable. This experience has given me a new level of confidence and a broader perspective that I know will shape both my academic journey and my professional path.

None of this would have been possible without the support of my scholarship donors. Because of your generosity, I was able to experience something truly life-changing, something that has impacted my growth, my perspective, and my future in ways I will always be grateful for.

Thank you for making this opportunity possible. I will carry these memories, lessons, and experiences with me for the rest of my life.
