Off to Berlin School of Economics and Law!

Hello! My name is Dylan Schumer and I am a rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh. I am studying Accounting and Business Information Systems as my major and considering Economics as a minor. I live in Fairless Hills, PA, which is just northeast of Philadelphia.

I am a member of the Society of International Business and a soon to be second year cadet in Army ROTC at my university. I look forward to getting a jump-start on traveling the world and gaining a first-hand experience in how foreign nations conduct business operations. I will get the perfect opportunity to do this from July 2 to July 22 when I study abroad in Berlin. The program I will be participating in is run by the Berlin School of Economics and Law, encompassing entrepreneurship and innovation management.

I chose Berlin as my first experience studying abroad because of its history and more adaptable environment. Since I do not have experience with the German language, it will be easier for me to adapt to living there as much of the population is proficient in speaking English. Although, I am excited to take a course in German while I’m there.

Only 2 more months until I go!
