Since last weekend was our second to last weekend in Berlin, a couple of my friends and I decided to take it all in and explore more of Berlin and the surrounding areas. On Sunday, we got up early and decided to explore Potsdam, which is a city that is right on the border of Berlin. Potsdam is a quick 30 minute train ride away and the weather was perfect for a day trip to explore another city. We got up early and got brunch in Ku’damm, not to far from where we stay in Charlottenburg. Then we made our trip to Potsdam. Potsdam is a very historical city with a lot to see, including palaces and amazing english gardens so we decided to make a day of it and rent bikes so that we could get the most of our experience.
After biking and exploring for a few hours, we caught the train back from Potsdam and decided to get lunch at “Thai Park”. On Sundays in Wilmersdorf’s Preußenpark, a few dozen Thai food vendors set up shop in the park and sell amazing food from their stalls. From fresh fruit to Pad Thai, they have everything you need for a relaxing Sunday in the park. Although we did not stay for long, Thai Park was a good ending to a great weekend in Berlin.
