As amazing as Vienna has been, I did leave much behind in Pittsburgh. There was so much I could not do being in Europe. One of which was performing on stage which I lost the ability to do when I left Pittsburgh. There just weren’t any opportunities that weren’t professional theatre, which I am not of the sort to try out for. However, over the past month, I have taken acting classes with a local actress/director who owns her own theatre company in Vienna, Joanna Goodwin-Seidl. It has been a fantastic way to get away from classes and just giving me an opportunity to pursue something on my own. I am learning so much from her and I really feel like I am improving on a skill that I have been trying to improve for years. She always brings her dog as well which is also a breath of fresh air. When leaving Europe, this will definitely be one of the activities I have missed the most.
