Onto (much) greener pastures

Hi Everyone! My name is Brenna Moran. I’m a rising senior from York, Pa currently studying Psychology and American Sign Language. At Pitt I’m going into my second year as an RA and in my free time I enjoy reading, swimming, and crossfit. My favorite show is The Office, favorite movie is The Breakfast Club, and favorite food is almost anything Italian. Academically, I plan on attending grad school -hopefully somewhere a little warmer than Pittsburgh- to earn a PhD in industrial/ organizational psychology. Professionally, I’d like to eventually work as a consultant in the field of I/O psych.

This summer I’m beyond excited to be interning in Dublin, Ireland. My family has very Irish roots so I’m also excited to be able to discover a little part of my history while abroad. While interning abroad I hope to gain a sense of independence and self-reliance. While I have travel through London and Paris before with my family I am ready to experience abroad on my own and hopefully get a little bit better at figuring out public transportation. I chose the IIP to further my professional experiences as an undergrad and continue to build an expansive professional network that will inevitably come in handy with consulting work down the line.

I can’t wait to see what this summer brings and I’m so excited to be embarking on this journey in only a little over a month! I cant wait for the amazing landscapes and the beauty that the country of Ireland- and anywhere else I might travel- holds in store!
