Looking Back

Deciding to study abroad was one of the best decisions I have ever made. London is an incredible city, and I am so thankful I was able to live, study, and work there for the past four months. Through this experience I was able to learn and see so much, and meet some of the most amazing people. I would strongly suggest that everyone looks into studying abroad and see if it is a possibility. I will always be able to look back on this experience and remember the incredible time I had abroad.

Just from being home for a week I can already see how much independence and professionalism I gained while being abroad. I am able to drive around the city and do different things by myself and feel completely comfortable. I also was able to walk into an interview for a summer internship with confidence. They asked me a lot about my time abroad, and I was able to talk about my experiences both at my internship and in London. I got the internship, and I do not feel as nervous about working because I know I now have experience.

Along with these different skills, I know I have gained new friends for life. Although we are all from different parts of the United States, we still talk every single day. I know this may die down, but I am positive we will keep in touch and visit one another from time to time. These people are amazing, and I am so grateful we were able to go through this experience together. Hawley was an awesome place to live, and the building introduced me to some of my best friends. I really could not imagine not studying abroad, and I am very grateful I was able to have this experience. I cannot wait to go back to London, and I will hopefully be able to work abroad at some point.
