Berlin Bound! – (BSEL Program)

Hi! My name is Amir Aliasgharpour and I’m a rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh. I’m from Randolph, New Jersey and I’m studying Marketing and Finance and working to complete an International Business Certificate. At Pitt, I’m involved in many different extracurricular activities. I’m a member of Enactus, Keep it Real, the incoming Public Relations Chair for the Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association, and I served as my pledge class Vice President for Phi Gamma Nu. In my free time, I like to watch basketball, discover new music, workout, hang out with my friends, and try new restaurants.

Traveling is another hobby of mine as well but finding opportunities to travel new places can be tough. I chose this program because I knew I wanted to study abroad during my time at Pitt, and to have early-on international exposure that would be applicable to the professional world. I’ve traveled with my parents since I was young, but I’ve never been to Germany before, so I am very excited to see this beautiful country and to experience all the culture that Berlin has to offer!

I specifically chose to pursue the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management program through BSEL because I’m interested in learning how to start and grow businesses in vibrant economies and start-up scenes like Berlin. I look forward to developing my business acumen and implementing what I learn through this program to real world applications, as well as becoming a more well-rounded and well-versed individual. See you soon, Germany!
