The Haller program offers a lot of opportunities for me to add to myself both personally and professionally. Ireland is home to many of my ancestors, as evident by Liam (O’)Carmody. A visit there will provide great insight into my past and help me situate my place in time and history, something I love to do. It will also afford me another chance to explore the wonders of Europe, a society the functions on an equally high level as the US, but in a much different way. The cultural differences and similarities of travel both entertain me and globalize my perception of the world. Professionally, this program provides amazing opportunities to see the functioning of top corporations based in Ireland and placing regional headquarters in Ireland. This will help me gauge how and if I may want to intern or work abroad. Additionally, the trip will strengthen my global confidence and poise on a professional level in a way that will facilitate in my future interactions abroad.
