My name is Rachel Vertucci, and I am a Haller Global Honors Fellowship participant for the summer of 2019. Through the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration, I plan on majoring in Global Management.
My background in business includes participation in the Future Business Leaders of America organization, in which I held an officer position and competed at Nationals twice. I hope to join the collegiate level of Future Business Leaders of America, Phi Beta Lambda. In addition to my interest in business, I love to travel. I was fortunate enough to be able to graduate high school a year early in order to pursue my dream of studying abroad in Germany. From October 2018 to January 2019, I lived in Bad Homburg and studied at the Volkshochschule. I aim to continue my education at Pitt and earn a minor in German.
When I received the invitation to apply for the Haller Global Honors Fellowship, I immediately knew the program was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I was most excited about the business aspects – meeting business faculty and fellow business students, taking a business honors course, and touring successful companies in Pittsburgh and Dublin. Through this program, I will be able to learn and grow as an individual both in and out of the classroom and make professional connections with business leaders in the process.
