My uncle is actually an immigrant from Dublin, and I have some relatives that live just outside the city. My uncle gave me contact information for his sisters, so if I want to meet them in Dublin at some point, I will be able. Outside of this connection, my mom said that Dublin was one of her favorite trips she’s every taken after she went last year, and my family thought this would be a great opportunity for me to gain some cultural experience. My uncle gave me a lot of really good recommendations as to what to do while I’m there, and he said that it is a very modern city. Knowing what my uncle said about Dublin increased my desire to visit the city, and so I applied for this program. I hope to see some of the developments being made, and visiting some major players in the business world is very exciting.
