Personally, I have always been attracted to Ireland.  Growing up, I have seen the city of Dublin as well as the Irish countryside depicted in countless television shows and movies.  Not only is there natural beauty in Ireland, but now large corporations (like Google) are now placing their international or European headquarters in Dublin due to the low corporate tax of 12.5%—compared to America’s 21% and the United Kingdom’s 19%.  Since I have always been interested in business, the high concentration of multi-billion dollar international companies in Ireland, paired with the natural beauty of the country, made the decision to give up part of my summer for this experience an easy one.
