Anticipation

As I sat in my seat sandwiched between a couple of middling age, I could think only two things. One was how hungry I was, and the other was how I wanted to sleep through the flight. Much to my dismay, I did not get enough of either the food or the rest I so dearly desired. Of course, I was excited to finally get to Ireland, but that was not the pressing issue at that given moment. I love to travel, but the getting there part is not something I’m too fond of, so needless to say, I was just trying to get the flight over with. What I didn’t know was that the cabin lights would be on for the first three hours of the flight, and would turn on again for the last hour and a half. This allowed me to get about three hours of sleep over the course of the eight hour flight. I was so tired throughout that whole ordeal, that I never even stopped to think of how excited I was to finally see Ireland until right now, sitting in Ireland, thinking of the adventures for tomorrow.
