Next Steps…

One of the main purposes of the Haller Global Fellowship is to give you an introduction to studying abroad early in your academic career, so that you start thinking about study abroad opportunities as part of your undergraduate business education.  Pitt Business has had great success in providing students with opportunities and financial support for study abroad.  Based on this experience and other programs that you have heard about, what is next for you for study abroad?  Do you see yourself working or even living abroad in your career?

For my next study abroad experience, I want to focus on something more specific that I am more interested in. Being able to dive deeper into culture and specific fields will enhance my experience and teach me much more about the global environment for business and other fields. I am certain that I will not work/live in my hometown. There is just too little offered and many other better places in the US to live and work. Working internationally is a whole other story. I love the world and love traveling, but I’m not sure if I like it more than the US. Taking advantage of longer programs and international internships will give me better insight into my interests. My Aunt currently works abroad and loves it; I visited her recently and also loved it. I think I would enjoy spending a few years abroad and getting work experience. More likely though I will travel for work or reside in the US and spend lots of time abroad.
