Vertucci – August 8 – Future Endeavors Abroad

One of the main purposes of the Haller Global Fellowship is to give you an introduction to studying abroad early in your academic career, so that you start thinking about study abroad opportunities as part of your undergraduate business education.  Pitt Business has had great success in providing students with opportunities and financial support for study abroad.  Based on this experience and other programs that you have heard about, what is next for you for study abroad?  Do you see yourself working or even living abroad in your career?

In the future, I will have to study or intern abroad for at least eight weeks because of my Global Management major. As of right now, I’m planning on working with Bryan Schultz and Hillary Koller to set up a unique internship abroad in which I spend four weeks at a company in one country and then another four weeks at the same company but in a different country. This internship abroad would allow me to see how business differs from one country to another. I definitely envision myself working and living abroad in the future. I’ve already lived abroad in Germany for four months with a host family, and I could imagine myself doing the same again.
