Initial Impressions of Ireland

My initial impression of Dublin when I arrived at the airport was how calm it seemed compared to other European cities I have been to. I felt comfortable walking around to find a coffee shop and becoming acquainted with the area. I was able to conversate with people on my way to get coffee in a friendly manner, with exemplifies how welcoming Dublin can be. I was also very interested when taking a tour of Trinity College and finding out how apparent the conflict between protestant and catholic Irish people used to be.

I am also really intrigued by how evident history is in the architecture of Dublin. The buildings re[resent charming aged cities instead of new age cities with skyscrapers. How most people who live in Dublin walk everywhere and take public transportation instead of driving, creating a sense of community.
