My professional development takeaway was that when consulting, you have to back up your consulting improvement with concrete data. At Core and Thinkhouse, they both made sure that their marketing improvements were based off preexisting data which were either gathered by them, an external source, or their clients. I then implemented this into my presentation and made sure that my suggestions were backed up with data.
My personal/social development takeaways were that it’s important to just make connections with people.u Most people are willing and open to new connections, even small ones like a short conversation. This means that just doing something simple can have an impact on somebody through that connection.
