Dear Scholarship Donor,

I am writing to express my gratitude for the opportunity you provided me to study abroad in Sydney, Australia as a kid who always had a dream to go to Australia. My experience was absolutely amazing and transformative and I am so thankful for the financial support that made it possible.

Summing up my experience in Sydney, I can confidently say that it was one of the most enriching and exciting periods of my life. The city is so vibrant and full of culture, and I was constantly amazed by the friendly and welcoming nature of the Australian people. Despite initially being nervous about being away from my home country and my loved ones, I quickly adapted to my new surroundings and began to embrace the experience wholeheartedly.

During my time in Sydney, I was able to grow in numerous ways, both personally and professionally. I had the opportunity to live with 6 guys who were complete strangers to me and have turned into people I would now consider to be lifelong friends. This experience taught me a lot about communication, patience, and the importance of understanding cultural backgrounds, and although it was a challenging experience, I’m grateful for the lessons I learned and the growth I experienced.

Academically, I was exposed to a whole new world of business practices and ideas that I never would have encountered if I had stayed at my home university. I had the opportunity to learn from world-renowned faculty members, take courses in subjects that were completely new to me, and engage in thought-provoking discussions with my peers. These experiences have broadened my perspective on business and have allowed me to become a more well-rounded and knowledgeable individual.

Personally, my time in Sydney allowed me to develop a greater sense of independence, confidence, and resilience. Living in a foreign country can be challenging, but I quickly learned to adapt to new situations and to make the most of the opportunities that came my way. I also had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and learn about their unique cultures and perspectives. This experience has made me a more empathetic and understanding person and has given me a greater appreciation for the diversity that exists in our world.

Looking forward, I plan to incorporate the lessons and experiences I gained in Sydney into my remaining time at Pitt Business and in my future career. Specifically, I plan to take a more global approach to my studies and seek out opportunities to learn about and engage with different cultures. I also plan to leverage the professional connections I made in Sydney to build a network of contacts that will help me in my future career.

Once again, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the opportunity you provided me to study abroad in Sydney. This experience has been truly life-changing, and I will always be thankful for the support you provided.
