I would like to learn more about Bloody Sunday, or the Bogside Massacre, while in Ireland. I find it interesting how even though it took place in Northern Ireland, the Irish still wanted Irish Americans to care about the event. I also found it interesting because Irish celebrities such as Bono used their platforms and celebrity status to spread awareness of the event. The violent protest also happened relatively recently so it probably still has an influence on Ireland today.
