Hey everyone! My name is Jake and I am a London GBI Student, studying Finance, international business, and French. I’m interested in working in capital markets, wealth management, or investment banking in the future. Some stuff about me would be that I love to watch baseball, football, MMA, hockey, and golf. Some of my personal hobbies are weight training, learning languages, running, and watching movies. I decided to apply to this program because it gives you a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in an international professional environment as well as take classes that are parallel to your major and internship. My goals for this program are to develop my analytical, financial projection, and programming skills while also getting great professional experience in the aggregate. I’m also excited to use my experiences and expertise from an internship last year to be as successful as I can for this program and internship. I also hope to gain new cultural experiences and immerse myself in the city. I’m excited to apply my prior international experiences as well as my interpersonal skills while I’m there. I’m also excited to see my Phillies play in London for the international series!

When applying my Clifton Strengths, I’m happy to use my responsibility, strategic, and learner skills as I am excited to learn and take in as much information as I possibly can in order to improve myself professionally but also as a person. I also need to be ready to think with a strategic mindset in order to optimize company financials and accounting strategies. I will need to be ready to learn about a new system called Xero in order to complete essential day to day tasks. To add, it goes without saying, but having a professional “achiever” mindset when completing this program is mandatory. I’m prepared to do my absolute best in order to achieve my goals and be the best worker and student that I can be.
