Hi everyone,
By the second week of my internship in Stockholm, I began to feel much more comfortable and confident within the company. The initial nerves had faded, and I found myself falling into the rhythm of the team’s daily workflow. I continued building relationships with colleagues, and conversations became more natural and enjoyable. With a stronger understanding of my role and the projects at hand, I was able to take more initiative and contribute meaningfully to the work.
What I appreciated most this week was how integrated I began to feel in the company culture. I no longer felt like “just the intern”, as team members asked for my input, involved me in discussions, and gave me real responsibilities. It was motivating to see my ideas being valued and to feel like I was making a tangible impact. My confidence within the company grew each day, and I found myself genuinely enjoying the work I was doing.
Outside of work, I continued to explore Stockholm and began discovering some of the city’s more hidden gems. I found quiet cafés tucked down narrow alleys in many different areas of Stockholm, stumbled across small parks that offered peaceful escapes from the city buzz, and browsed cozy bookshops that made the city feel even more inviting. These moments made Stockholm feel less like a place I was visiting and more like a place I was beginning to truly know.
A major highlight of the week was celebrating Midsommar at Vaxholm, an island in the Stockholm archipelago. The experience was unforgettable, with traditional dancing around the maypole, flower crown making, and enjoying classic Swedish foods with locals made me feel deeply immersed in Swedish culture. The setting was beautiful, and the community atmosphere was incredibly warm and joyful. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the country’s traditions and how important seasonal celebrations are in bringing people together.
By the end of week two, I felt a meaningful shift. Not just in my professional growth, but in how connected I felt to the culture and lifestyle around me. Between gaining confidence at work, exploring Stockholm’s quieter corners, and celebrating Midsommar in Vaxholm for the weekend, I was starting to feel both productive and personally fulfilled. I’m excited to carry this energy into the coming weeks and continue growing through this experience.
