Hi everyone!! My name is Sarah Arnold, and I am starting my story with the Haller Global Scholar Fellowship!! I am very thankful to say that I have had the most transformative 24 hours of my life and am prepared for 3 more weeks of growth!!
I come from a somewhat small town about 40 minutes away from Pittsburgh called Mars. I’ve lived there my whole life and subsequently been a Mars Fighting Planet from Kindergarten to Senior Graduation. I will be a Pitt Panther this fall in the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Business and also within the David C. Frederick Honors College!! I intend to major in Accounting and potentially double major in Finance or minor in French as a language!! I am absolutely delighted to be a new addition to the Pitt family and look forward to becoming the change I wish to see!! The rest of this study with the Haller Fellowship will be one for the scrapbooks and the conversations with friends, both new and old!!
I first heard of the Haller Global Fellowship program at one of Pitt’s open houses. It seemed perfect: early college experience, independence in daily life, and Ireland. Although the opportunity to visit Ireland first caught my attention, the knowledge that I would experience something meaningful, would create something meaningful, fully cemented my dream of being in the program.
The unique experience to learn in a small environment, allowing deep connections and an even deeper understanding of material or concepts is a major aspect of the program I am extremely grateful for. Within the small group we are working to help businesses in Ireland continue to grow and succeed!! This program was carefully and considerately made to help prepare all students for the rest of their academic journey and then their eventual future careers!! I am extremely excited and thankful for this next chapter with the Pitt School of Business and AllPeopleBeHappy!!
