Today we met with the Assistant Dean of the Fredricks Honor College, Dr. David Hornyak, who wonderfully explained the many resources that the Honors College has to offer to students!! One aspect of the session that really piqued my interest was the topic of the Bachelor of Philosophy!! It is designed to reward students who choose extensive, graduate levels of research with a degree of distinction!! Although this path may not be for everyone, I can certainly see its potential place in my future!!

Our second meeting was with the Director of Global Experiences in Pitt Business, Bryan Schultz, who met with us over lunch to help inform us of other Global Experience Opportunities available within our first year at Pitt!! One program in particular I had never heard of before involving the Appalachian region and learning through service. This program really caught my interest because it involves a region so close to home and it works with a region somewhat similar to the town we are working to help consult these next few weeks!!
